AI calorie scanner

Track calories in seconds. No typing.

Point your camera at a meal. Kalozi identifies what is on the plate and estimates the calories and macros — no scrolling through a food database, no guessing which of forty "chicken breast" entries is yours.

Three scans free. No account needed.

The Kalozi result screen for a photographed plate of dates and an apple: 285 kcal, with 2g protein, 76g carbs and 1g fat, itemised as dates 190 kcal and apple 95 kcal, and a health score of 8, well balanced.

Three taps

Open the app, log a meal. That is the whole loop.

Most trackers lose you at the search box. Kalozi never shows you one unless you ask for it.

Snap

Open the camera and take a photo of your plate.

See

Calories and a full macro breakdown, itemised — and editable, because a photograph cannot see everything.

Log

One tap. It is on your day, your streak and your progress chart.

The Kalozi Today screen: a ring showing 2,043 calories left of 2,508, with 465 eaten, and rings for 8g protein of 188, 109g carbs of 251 and 3g fat of 84.

Today

One number tells you where you are.

Calories left, not calories eaten — because the only question at 6pm is what you can still have. Protein, carbs and fat sit underneath as rings against your own targets.

The week runs across the top, so a day you forgot to log is one tap away rather than buried in a calendar.

The Kalozi daily target screen: eat 2,246 kcal per day, against a maintenance of 2,995, a daily deficit of 749 and 0.68 kg per week, with macro targets of 168g protein, 225g carbs and 75g fat, and a projection chart from 104 kg today to 82 kg.

Your plan

A target with its working shown.

Kalozi does not hand you a round number. It shows your maintenance, the deficit it is applying, and the rate per week that produces — so you can see whether the plan is sane before you commit to it.

That rate is capped on purpose, and the target will never fall below clinically accepted minimums or below your own resting metabolic rate. When a cap changes the plan you asked for, the app says so.

What else is in there

A photo is the fast path, not the only one.

Packaged food, a label with no barcode, or a meal you would rather just describe — all of it lands in the same log.

Four ways to log

  • Photograph the plate
  • Scan a barcode
  • Scan a nutrition label
  • Describe it in a sentence

Your day

  • A calorie and macro target built from your goal, not a generic number
  • Water and exercise logging
  • Meal reminders you set per meal
  • A home screen widget showing what you can still eat

Progress

  • Weight chart and weekly averages
  • Streaks, which an unlogged today never breaks
  • A weekly recap worth sharing
  • Export your food log as PDF or CSV, any time

Built for how you actually eat

  • Ramadan mode — suhoor and iftar, not breakfast and lunch
  • Arabic and English, with full right-to-left layout
  • Apple Health: meals and weigh-ins out, steps and workouts in

Estimates, honestly

Kalozi's numbers come from a photograph, so they are approximations, and the app says so on every result. It cannot see the oil in the pan. Every item is editable, and the original estimate is kept forever underneath your correction.

It will not build you a plan below clinically accepted calorie minimums or below your own resting metabolic rate. When a safety cap changes the plan you asked for, it tells you — instead of quietly serving a different one.

Kalozi is not a medical device and gives no medical advice. Speak to a doctor or a registered dietitian before making significant dietary changes.

Stop typing out your food.

Three scans are free, with no account and no card. Kalozi Pro removes the limit when you decide it is worth it — and the trial tells you exactly when it ends before it starts.
